In response to a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General in Machias, NY, local authorities arrested Peter A. Vega Jr., 36, on charges of Petit Larceny and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene following reports that a male suspect had stolen an alcoholic beverage. Upon arrival, they identified the individual as Vega Jr., a resident of Machias, NY. Following an investigation, Vega Jr. was taken into custody and charged with one count of Petit Larceny (PL 155.25) and one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree (PL 140.10).
Vega Jr. has been released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face the charges.
