Quinton Powless, 28, from Salamanca, NY, was arrested following a violent assault on another inmate at Cattaraugus County Jail.

On June 27, 2023, at approximately 5:32 PM, Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb reported a domestic incident at 507 Fair Oak St, Little Valley, NY, leading to the arrest of Quinton A. Powless, 28, of Salamanca, NY. Powless was detained under an arrest warrant issued by the Town of Little Valley Court, linked to an ongoing investigation into a severe assault that occurred within the confines of the Cattaraugus County Jail.

The investigation revealed that while incarcerated, Powless inflicted serious physical injuries on another inmate. Following his arrest, Powless was arraigned in the Town of Little Valley Court by Judge Wrona and subsequently remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail pending further legal proceedings. Specific charges against Powless include assault under Penal Law 120.05 (1).
