Great Valley Resident Faces Court Date Following Early Morning Traffic Stop

On the morning of June 21, 2024, at 8:07 PM, a routine traffic stop on Route 219 in Great Valley, New York, led to the arrest of 26-year-old Ramsey Nelson for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The incident was reported by Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb.

Ramsey Nelson was stopped for violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law (VTL). During the stop, officers observed signs indicating Nelson was under the influence of alcohol. After a thorough investigation, Nelson was taken into custody.

Nelson was charged with multiple offenses, including VTL sections 1180d (speeding), 1192.2 (driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher), and 1192.3 (driving while intoxicated). Following his arrest, Nelson was processed and released with an appearance ticket.

Nelson is scheduled to appear in the Town of Great Valley Court to answer these charges. The case will be presided over by Judge Stokes.
