City Services Shift to Accommodate Holiday Observance
In observance of Independence Day, the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has announced adjustments to its schedule. The BPU will be closed on Thursday, July 4th. Consequently, garbage and recycling collections slated for that day will be postponed to Friday, July 5th. Regular Friday collections will be rescheduled to Saturday, July 6th.
During the week of July 1-6, metal items are designated for recycling. Due to the altered collection timetable, the Yard Waste Site will not operate on Saturday, July 6th. This change allows BPU employees to handle the rescheduled garbage and recycling pickups.
For urgent issues outside of regular business hours, customers can reach BPU at 716-661-1640. For non-urgent inquiries during business hours, BPU Customer Service is available at 716-661-1660.
