(WNY News Now) – Sheridan – A Minnetrista, Minnesota man is facing serious charges after a late-night motor vehicle accident on East Middle Road in the Town of Sheridan.
On July 4, 2024, at approximately 10:50 PM, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Pennsylvania Avenue in the Town of Sheridan. Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle in a ditch on East Middle Road. The operator, identified as 38-year-old Daniel Edward Gallivan of Minnetrista, Minnesota, was located a short distance away from the vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that Gallivan was allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated DWI (with a Blood Alcohol Content above .18), and Failure to Keep Right.
Gallivan is scheduled to appear in the Town of Sheridan Court at a later date to answer for these charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, Gallivan is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
