(WNY News Now) – Gowanda – Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb reports that Joshua T. Slawson, 38, of Gowanda, NY, was arrested on Jun 29, 2024, for Criminal Contempt 1st Degree and Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree following an investigation into a reported violation of an Order of Protection.
Joshua T. Slawson, a resident of Gowanda, NY, was apprehended by deputies after they responded to a harassment complaint at the same address. Upon investigation, it was determined that Slawson had allegedly breached the Order of Protection by sending threatening text messages. As a result, he has been charged with Criminal Contempt 1st Degree and Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree.
Slawson was arraigned in the Town of Persia Court and is scheduled to appear again at a later date. Currently, he has been released on recognizance pending further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, Slawson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
