(WNY News Now) – Forestville – A South Dayton resident faces DWI charges following an incident in Forestville on the evening of July 5, 2024.
On July 5, 2024, at approximately 7:49 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call to locate a suspect involved in an earlier incident in Cattaraugus County. The deputies successfully identified the individual as Jonathan M. Mcgill, a 42-year-old resident of South Dayton, NY.
During the investigation, deputies determined that Mcgill was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and driving with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08% or greater.
Mcgill is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, Mcgill is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
