(WNY News Now) – Hanover – A routine traffic stop on Route 5 & 20 in Hanover resulted in the arrest of a Florida man for driving while intoxicated.
On the night of July 3, 2024, at approximately 9:49 PM, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 5 & 20 in the Town of Hanover. The driver, identified as 55-year-old Marc Bukaty of Osprey, Florida, was found to be driving with insufficient tail lamps.
Upon further investigation, deputies determined that Bukaty was driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was arrested and charged with DWI and No/Insufficient Tail Lamps. Bukaty was later released and issued tickets to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a future date. As are all persons accused of a crime, Bukaty is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
