(WNY News Now) – Allegany, NY – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Matthew J. Amore, 48, on a Violation of Probation Warrant.
Matthew J. Amore was taken into custody on July 2, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM at 171 W Main St, Allegany, NY. The arrest was executed by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, following a warrant for a probation violation under CPL 410.40.
Following his arrest, Amore was transported to the Hinsdale Town Court for arraignment. Judge Jenks presided over the proceedings and subsequently released Amore on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Village of Allegany Court at a later date to address the probation violation charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
