(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – Authorities uncover significant drug operation in Jamestown, leading to the arrest of a Jamestown man.

On July 11, 2024, at approximately 1:30 pm, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 7 Forest Park, Jamestown, NY. The operation, supported by the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, led to the arrest of 34-year-old Jamestown resident Nicholas J. Dean.

During the search of the residence, detectives discovered 21.3 grams of crack cocaine, 73.6 grams of fentanyl, and 75.1 grams of methamphetamine. They also seized $1,352 in cash, a digital scale, and packaging materials. Dean was found alone in the house and was promptly arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Dean faces serious charges, including one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia. Notably, Dean is currently on probation, adding to the severity of his legal situation. He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The operation saw collaboration from various law enforcement agencies, including the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Jamestown Fire Department.
