(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – In the early hours of July 10th, 2024, Shawn T. Mason, 41, of Jamestown, was arrested following a domestic dispute that escalated to criminal charges. Town of Ellicott police were dispatched to the scene at 3:02 AM, where Mason allegedly destroyed property in the presence of juveniles, leading to charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

The police report detailed the situation, noting that Mason had no right to damage the property. His actions, witnessed by minors, prompted immediate police intervention. Mason was subsequently taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
