(WNY News Now) – ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is recovering in the hospital after being shot on Monroe Avenue early Thursday morning.

In the early hours of Thursday, Rochester police responded to a shooting in front of a business in the 600 block of Monroe Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 30s who had been shot at least once in the lower body.

The victim was promptly transported to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident and seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
