(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – The Babe Ruth World Series Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the 41st Annual World Series of Wheels, set for Saturday, July 27, 2024, in Jamestown, with a rain date of Sunday, July 28.
The World Series of Cars was started in 1984 as a way to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series here in Jamestown and was one of the premier shows for antique judged cars. Over the years we have evolved into the newly formed World Series of Wheels to reflect all vehicles and in addition to power sports. Jamestown has been successful not only in this car show, but also in hosting 19 World Series events from 1980-2024. The show was conceived in 1984 to help defray the expense of hosting a Babe Ruth World Series here in Jamestown. Each one of these series has showcased young baseball talent from all over the United States in addition to bringing a very significant economic boost to the Jamestown area. The event will run from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with the admission of $3.00 per person over 12.
The World Series of Wheels is one of the primary fundraising events for the Babe Ruth World Series and this year’s 41st Annual participant judged show to be held in Bergman Park on Baker Street in Jamestown will be no exception. This show has been recognized for many years as one of the premier automotive events in Western New York and we hope to continue and grow that reputation.
In addition to the participants, there will be swap vendors, kids bounce house, food and craft vendors as well as live music!
** PLEASE NOTE THE CONSTRUCTION ON BAKER STREET BUT ALL ENTRANCES TO THE PARK ARE OPEN **
