(WNY News Now) – HANOVER, NY – In the early hours of July 30, 2024, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute on the Rt 20 Catt Creek Bridge connecting Chautauqua County and Erie County.
Scott McMahon has been charged with Menacing in the 3rd Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, and Aggravated Harassment in the 2nd Degree following an incident that occurred around 2:51 AM. Deputies arrived to find McMahon involved in conduct that put another individual in fear and created a substantial risk of serious physical injury.
According to the investigation, McMahon’s actions involved reckless behavior and threats of physical harm towards the victim. Following the investigation, McMahon was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail. He will face charges in the Town of Hanover court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
