Allegany County Office for the Aging Seeks Dedicated Volunteer for Meals on Wheels Program
(WNY News Now) – Allegany County – The Allegany County Office for the Aging is urgently seeking a compassionate and reliable volunteer to deliver meals to elderly residents in the Alfred/Almond and Wellsville areas. This critical role supports local seniors who rely on meal deliveries for their daily nutrition and independence.
Volunteers are essential to the success of the Meals on Wheels program. As a driver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring that our elderly friends and neighbors receive their meals on time. The position requires about an hour of your time each day and offers the rewarding experience of contributing to the community.
In addition to the satisfaction of helping others, volunteers will be reimbursed for mileage and provided with a free meal for their service. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to give back to their community in a tangible way.
If you are available to assist with meal deliveries in the Alfred/Almond and Wellsville areas, please reach out to the Allegany County Office for the Aging. Interested volunteers should contact Karen Chamberlain at (585) 268-9390 for more information.
