(WNY News Now) – Syracuse, NY – In the early hours of Thursday, August 1st, Syracuse Police responded to a shooting incident on Hampton Road, resulting in one man being hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
At approximately 2:40 A.M., Syracuse Police Officers arrived at the 200 block of Hampton Road following reports of a shooting. On the scene, officers found a 36-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was quickly transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is in stable condition and expected to survive.
The Syracuse Police Department has launched an active investigation into the incident. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
