(WNY News Now) – Fredonia, NY – The Cinema Series at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center continues with a poignant exploration of love and time in the film “Touch.” Catch screenings on Saturday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 20, at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the international best-selling book by Olaf Olafsson, “Touch” is a romantic and thrilling tale that spans several decades and continents.  The story is one man’s emotional journey to find his first love who disappeared 50 years ago, before his time runs out

The San Francisco Chronicle calls the film “absorbing.”  Variety calls it “a uniquely powerful, humane film about people rebounding from the rubble of devastating losses, choosing courage and love to overcome grief.”  The Wall Street Journal says it is “a worthy consideration of the things that matter most when the clock is running out.”  The Arizona Republic says “there is a literary beauty woven throughout the film.”  Rated R for some sexuality, “Touch” runs two hours, one minute. 

Tickets are available at the door for $7 (adults), $6.50 (seniors & Opera House members) and $5 (students) the night of each screening.  The Opera House is equipped with assistive listening headsets for the hearing-impaired.  Simply request one from any usher or staff member.
