(WNY News Now) – Ashford – A 31-year-old Ashford resident was apprehended on a felony bench warrant, leading to his remand to Cattaraugus County Jail.

On the evening of August 15th, 2024, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Zachery M. Burdic, 31, of Ashford, New York, on an outstanding felony bench warrant. The arrest took place at approximately 7:40 PM at a residence on Route 240 in Ashford.

Burdic was wanted in connection with a felony warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court. Upon his arrest, he was processed by law enforcement and subsequently transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail. Authorities confirmed that Burdic is being held without bail, pending further court proceedings.

The arrest was executed with the assistance of the New York State Police. Burdic’s next court date has yet to be announced. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
