(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – The Reg is set to captivate moviegoers with an exciting double feature this August, showcasing the adventurous Thelma and the highly anticipated Inside Out 2.

The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts in Jamestown, NY, continues its summer film series with two must-see movies. On Wednesday, August 21, at 7 p.m., Thelma takes the spotlight. This thrilling adventure follows a feisty 93-year-old grandmother, portrayed by June Squibb, as she embarks on a daring quest across Los Angeles to recover her stolen money. Thelma, accompanied by her friend played by Richard Roundtree, brings both heart and humor to the screen. The movie, rated PG-13, runs for 97 minutes.

Following this, Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will be screened on Friday, August 23, at 7 p.m., with an additional showing on Wednesday, August 28, at 2 p.m. This sequel returns viewers to the mind of Riley, now a teenager, where new emotions like Anxiety shake up the established dynamic. The film, filled with humor and emotional depth, is also rated PG-13 and runs for 96 minutes.

Looking ahead, The Reg will feature other notable films, including the action-packed Twisters on September 13, the romantic comedy The Fabulous Four on September 18, and Despicable Me 4 with a sensory-friendly showing on September 21. The month will culminate with a special engagement of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 25.

Tickets for most movies are priced at $8 in-person and $10 online or by phone, with family showings slightly discounted. The theater, located at 116 E. 3rd St., Jamestown, NY, welcomes moviegoers with box office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12-5 p.m., and one hour before show times.
