(WNY News Now) – Sherman – A Sherman woman was arrested following a motor vehicle accident on Rt 430, where authorities determined she was driving while intoxicated.

On the evening of August 23, 2024, around 7:40 PM, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Rt 430 in the Town of Sherman. The driver involved was identified as 39-year-old Lindsey E. Huval, a resident of Sherman, NY.

Upon further investigation, deputies found that Huval had been driving under the influence. She was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, and moving from her lane unsafely.

Huval is scheduled to appear in the Sherman Town Court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
