(WNY News Now) – Hanover – A 22-year-old woman from Silver Creek faces DWI charges following a late-night traffic stop in the Town of Hanover.
In the early hours of August 23, 2024, at approximately 2:26 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a traffic incident on Route 5&20 in the Town of Hanover. Upon investigation, deputies determined that Sarah K. Charry, a 22-year-old resident of Silver Creek, was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Charry was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and DWI per se, which indicates a blood alcohol content above the legal limit. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
