(WNY News Now) – LOCKPORT, NY – A Niagara County jury returned a guilty verdict Tuesday against 30-year-old Time Thomas, Jr. of Buffalo, following his trial on multiple serious charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI), drug possession, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced the verdict, stating, “The defendant, a two-time prior felon, was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the middle of River Road with a loaded gun under his leg, cocaine and fentanyl in the vehicle, a blood alcohol content of .14%, and an 8-year-old child in the backseat. I am pleased that the jury returned this common-sense verdict.”
The case was investigated by the New York State Police, with Assistant District Attorney Mattie Davis and Vehicular Crimes Bureau Chief Christine Savoia leading the prosecution.
Thomas was found guilty of all 10 counts in the indictment, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, and drug possession charges. The jury’s decision brings Thomas closer to a potential sentence of up to 23 ½ years. Supreme Court Justice Mario Giacobbe will sentence him on December 3rd.
