(WNY News Now) – Constitution Week 2024 marks the 237th anniversary of the United States Constitution, a time to reflect on the enduring principles of liberty, governance, and patriotism.
The United States Constitution, often called the “guardian of our liberties,” embodies the core principles of limited government, protecting individual rights while ensuring a framework for the rule of law. In recognition of its importance, Public Law 915 mandates an annual proclamation by the President of the United States, marking these seven days as Constitution Week. This year, W. Brooke Harris, Chairman of the Board of Legislators in Allegany County, New York, has officially declared the week in Allegany county, calling for reflection on the freedoms enshrined by the Framers.
