(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – A late-night domestic dispute on Jamestown’s east side ended with the arrest of a 34-year-old woman for violating a protection order and assaulting a victim.

On the evening of September 13, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Jamestown Police officers from the 2nd Platoon were dispatched to an east side residence following a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they encountered a victim who had sustained facial injuries.

Following an investigation, authorities determined that Desteny Badgley, 34, had physically assaulted the victim. Further investigation revealed that an active order of protection prohibited Badgley from engaging in offensive contact with the victim.

Desteny Badgley was arrested without incident and taken to Jamestown City Jail. She faces charges of Aggravated Criminal Contempt and Assault in the 3rd Degree. She is currently held pending her arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
