(WNY News Now) – SYRACUSE, NY — On the evening of Friday, September 13, 2024, Syracuse police responded to an urgent report of a stabbing on the 500 block of Valley Drive. Arriving at the scene shortly after 5 p.m., officers discovered a 14-year-old girl with stab wounds to her neck and side. She had been involved in a physical altercation with another teenage girl when a third individual intervened and stabbed her.

The injured girl was promptly transported to Upstate Hospital by American Medical Response, where her injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

Soon after, a second 14-year-old female arrived at Community Hospital by private vehicle, suffering from a severe laceration to her thumb. It was determined that she, too, was involved in the altercation on Valley Drive and was also stabbed by the same third individual. Her injuries, like the first victim’s, were classified as non-life-threatening.

The Syracuse Police Department is actively investigating the incident and is seeking any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the third suspect involved.
