(WNY News Now) – Coldspring – A 30-year-old man faces multiple charges after being arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle crash in Coldspring, NY.
On September 19, 2024, at approximately 1:49 a.m., Zachary A. Crowe, 30, of Coldspring, New York, was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI) after a motor vehicle accident on North Loop Road in Coldspring.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a crash and determined that Crowe had been operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. After being taken into custody, Crowe was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, where he submitted a chemical test on the Datamaster device, confirming his intoxication.
Crowe was released with several uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket, facing the following charges:
- Aggravated DWI (NYS VTL 1192-2AA)
- Driving while intoxicated (NYS VTL 1192-2)
- Driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher (NYS VTL 1192-3)
- Operating without a valid license (NYS VTL 509-1)
- Failure to maintain lane (NYS VTL 1128-A)
- Speeding (NYS VTL 1180-A)
Crowe is scheduled to appear in Coldspring Town Court at a later date to face these charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
