(WNY News Now) – North Harmony – A routine traffic stop on Route 474 in the Town of North Harmony led to the arrest of a Frewsburg resident for driving while intoxicated.

On the evening of September 21, 2024, at approximately 8:24 PM, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 474 in the Town of North Harmony. The driver, identified as 42-year-old Christina W. Hagberg of Frewsburg, NY, was found to be operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Further investigation revealed that Hagberg was driving while intoxicated (DWI) and in violation of DWI per se regulations. Additionally, officers discovered that her vehicle had inadequate or no stop lamps, prompting an additional charge.

Hagberg was arrested at the scene and is scheduled to appear in the Town of North Harmony Court to face charges of DWI, DWI per se, and inadequate stop lamps at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
