(WNY News Now) – Hanover – A single-vehicle accident in the Town of Hanover led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Dunkirk man for driving while intoxicated.
On September 26, 2024, at approximately 10:26 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident in the Town of Hanover. Upon arrival, deputies identified the driver as Jose A. Hernandez Juarez, a 21-year-old resident of Dunkirk, NY.
Following an investigation at the scene, authorities determined that Hernandez Juarez was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se, and failure to keep right.
Hernandez Juarez was taken into custody without incident and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
