(WNY News Now) – Gowanda – A coordinated drug raid in the Village of Gowanda uncovered a narcotics operation, leading to multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal substances and paraphernalia.

In a late-night raid on September 26, 2024, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at 85 Torrance Place, Gowanda, New York, which uncovered a drug distribution operation. The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, the DEA, and the Gowanda Police Department, led the operation.

The investigation revealed that the residence was being used to sell illegal narcotics. Upon executing the search warrant, officers discovered a significant amount of suspected crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency.

Three individuals were arrested in connection with the raid: Cedric Cobb, 38, of Buffalo, Michael Guadagno, 63, of Gowanda, and Michael Priest, 46, of South Dayton. Each was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree (PL 220.16) and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree (PL 220.50).

Cobb is being held without bail, while Guadagno and Priest were released on their own recognizance following their arraignment in the Town of Persia Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
