On September 25, 2024, at approximately 5:04 PM, Jamestown Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on the city’s north side that quickly escalated into a major drug and weapon bust. The suspects, Dion J. Carr, 40, of Buffalo, and Charles N. Dean, 26, of Jamestown, were arrested following the stop.

During the investigation, officers uncovered a significant stash of illegal substances, including 112 grams of methamphetamine and 18 grams of fentanyl. Along with the drugs, police seized a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, two digital scales, and $491 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.
