(WNY News Now) – Hanover – A routine traffic stop on Alleghany Road led to the arrest of a Williamsville resident, charged with multiple DWI-related offenses late Saturday night.
On the night of September 28, 2024, at approximately 10:01 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Alleghany Road in the Town of Hanover. The vehicle was driven by 31-year-old Veronica T. Scordato from Williamsville, New York.
During the stop, deputies determined that Scordato was driving while intoxicated. She was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. These charges will be addressed in the Hanover Town Court at a later, unspecified date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
