(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop on Route 219 in Ashford led to the arrest of an Olean man for Driving While Intoxicated and several other violations.

On the night of October 1, 2024, at approximately 9:19 PM, Kevin D. Robbins, 48, of Olean, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 219 in Ashford, New York. Robbins was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and several other traffic violations, including failing to stay in the correct lane, speeding, and unsafe turning.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Robbins was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for further testing and processing. After completing the necessary procedures, Robbins was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ashford Court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
