(WNY News Now) – A routine animal complaint in Great Valley, NY, led to the arrest of a local woman wanted on an active bench warrant.
On the evening of September 29, 2024, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an animal complaint at 5283 Beeles Rd. in Great Valley, NY. Upon investigation, deputies discovered that the resident, Christina S. Wyatt, 46, had an active bench warrant issued by the Salamanca Police Department.
Wyatt was promptly taken into custody at approximately 7:36 p.m. She was transported to Salamanca, where she was handed over to local authorities. The bench warrant, issued under New York State Criminal Procedure Law Section 530.70, required her immediate arrest. No details regarding the original charge linked to the warrant were made available at the time of this report. Wyatt remains in custody pending further legal proceedings in the City of Salamanca.
