(WNY News Now) – A Great Valley man faces charges after an investigation revealed he endangered the welfare of a physically disabled person, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

On October 1, 2024, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron L. Bell, 43, of Great Valley, New York, on charges of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person in the first degree. The arrest followed an investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Bureau.

According to the Sheriff’s report, the incident took place in the Town of Little Valley, where Bell is accused of putting the safety and well-being of a vulnerable individual at risk. Authorities have not disclosed specific details regarding the circumstances leading to the charges.

After being processed at the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Bell was released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Little Valley court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
