Third Arrest This Year in Same Area for Meth Possession

(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of Latrisha S. McCarty, a 55-year-old resident of Clymer, for the third time this year in connection with methamphetamine possession. The incident took place on October 5, 2024, at approximately 8:14 PM in the area of Liberty Street and Falconer Street, Jamestown.

Officers of the Jamestown Police Department initiated the stop after observing moving and equipment violations. Upon investigation, McCarty was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and two other controlled substances. She was subsequently charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

McCarty has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement in the same area this year, each involving meth possession. She was taken to the Jamestown City Jail for booking and, due to previous failures to appear in court, was held pending arraignment.

McCarty was later released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Jamestown City Court for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  1. Wow can we say stocking and harassment by officer.

  2. I’ve known this woman for 20 years, i doubt it was stalking, she has the same kind of record in Texas. She makes the same choices, gets the same results.
