(WNY News Now) – A 14-year-old juvenile was apprehended in the Town of New Albion following a warrant execution by the Sheriff’s Office.

On the afternoon of September 25, 2024, at approximately 2:23 PM, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office executed a warrant arrest in the Town of New Albion, leading to the detention of a 14-year-old juvenile. The warrant had been issued by Erie County Family Court in relation to a Family Court Act (FCA) violation, specifically FCA-312.2.

The juvenile was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to a secure location where the authorities coordinated the transfer to Erie County Family Court for further legal proceedings.

The arrest was carried out with the assistance of Erie County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) personnel, and the investigation continues to be handled by local law enforcement. The case will be overseen by Judge Freedman at Erie County Family Court.

No bail was set, as the matter falls under family court jurisdiction, and the juvenile’s legal process will continue in accordance with family law protocols. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
