(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident faces charges after an alleged shoplifting incident at a local supermarket.

Ellicott – On the evening of September 30th, Town of Ellicott police responded to a shoplifting report at Wegmans, resulting in the arrest of 24-year-old Noah R.D. Teagarden of Jamestown. Teagarden was charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing merchandise from the store.

Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 9:00 PM, where they conducted an investigation that led to Teagarden’s apprehension. The value and nature of the stolen items have not been disclosed. Following his arrest, Teagarden was issued an appearance ticket and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
