(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Randolph led to the arrest of a local man for driving on a suspended license.
On the afternoon of October 3, 2024, at approximately 4:30 PM, deputies from the Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street in the Town of Randolph. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the driver, identified as 26-year-old Riley M. Priest, was operating a vehicle with a suspended New York State driver’s license.
Priest, a resident of Randolph, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree, a serious traffic offense under New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Priest was released on his own recognizance after being issued several Uniform Traffic Tickets (UTTs). He is scheduled to appear before the Randolph Town Court at a later date to answer for the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
