(WNY News Now) – Jamestown Police have arrested Shawn P. Clutter, 36, for violating a protection order and assaulting the same victim twice in less than a week.

On October 8, 2024, at approximately 10:59 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a domestic dispute on the city’s south side. Upon arrival, they discovered that 36-year-old Shawn P. Clutter had violated a court-issued order of protection by contacting the female victim, who had been assaulted the previous night. The victim sustained visible injuries, including bruising and swelling to her eye.

Further investigation revealed that Clutter had been wanted for a separate incident involving the same victim, which occurred on October 5, 2024. In both instances, Clutter ignored legal restrictions meant to protect the victim from harm.

Clutter was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Criminal Contempt, Assault in the Third Degree, and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Clutter remains in Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
