(WNY News Now) – A fugitive from justice was apprehended in Cold Spring, NY after authorities discovered his outstanding warrant during an unrelated investigation.

Cold Spring, N.Y. – On October 8, 2024, at approximately 11:57 AM, deputies with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Jordan J.L. Klein of Sinclairville, NY. The arrest occurred on West Perimeter Road in Cold Spring, NY, after deputies encountered Klein during an unrelated incident.

Upon further investigation, deputies discovered that Klein had an active Violation of Probation warrant issued by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania. Klein was taken into custody and transported to the Town of Conewango Court for a Fugitive from Justice arraignment.

Following his arraignment, Klein was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Jail, where he is currently awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.

Klein faces charges under CPL 570.06, which deals with fugitives from justice. At the time of this report, no bail has been set. The case is being handled by Judge Johnson of the Town of Conewango Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  1. I know they say “innocent until proven guilty”, but if that was the case, arrests wouldn’t be made in the 1st place. Just saying.
