(WNY News Now) – A Toronto man with citizenship in three countries has admitted to trafficking firearms into the U.S. and faces up to 15 years in prison.
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Jeshua Lion Myers, also known as Dually, 29, a resident of Toronto, Canada, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit firearms trafficking, U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today. The charge carries a potential 15-year prison sentence and a fine of up to $250,000.
Myers, who holds citizenship in Canada, the U.S., and the Bahamas, admitted to conspiring to transport firearms into the U.S. and later attempting to have them illegally smuggled into Canada. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Adler, Myers coordinated a firearms deal in December 2023 with an undercover officer, arranging to purchase and transport firearms from Florida. He believed the officer would smuggle the weapons into Canada.
On December 20, 2023, Myers met the officer in Buffalo, New York, and exchanged 19 firearms, including several semi-automatic weapons capable of accepting high-capacity magazines, for $33,000. Along with the firearms, he provided assorted high-capacity magazines, ammunition, and other components. Two months later, in February 2024, Myers supplied undercover law enforcement officers with an additional 110 firearms.
The investigation was led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Border Enforcement Security Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and the Ontario Provincial Police. Additional support came from HSI in Miami, Florida.
Myers’ sentencing is scheduled for February 21, 2025, before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr.
