(WNY News Now) – Residents in Olean’s York Street area will experience temporary water outages on October 23 due to a scheduled valve replacement.
Olean, N.Y. – The City of Olean Department of Public Works Water Distribution Division will be conducting essential water valve repairs on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The work will affect residents along the 500 block of York Street, specifically from the intersection of York Street and Indiana Avenue to the start of the dirt road, including the first five houses on York Street.
Starting at approximately 10:00 AM, water service will be temporarily shut off to allow for the valve replacement. The outage is expected to last between two to three hours as the repair team works to improve water distribution infrastructure. The City of Olean Water Distribution team will make every effort to notify affected residents in advance.
