(WNY News Now) – Syracuse, NY – A stabbing incident on Syracuse’s West Side left a 29-year-old man with severe injuries Sunday afternoon, prompting a police investigation and a call for public assistance.
Syracuse Police responded to the 400 block of Shonnard Street at approximately 3:58 p.m. on November 17, 2024, after receiving reports of a fight involving a weapon. Upon arrival, officers discovered a trail of blood leading from the scene. Investigators later learned that the victim, a 29-year-old male, had driven himself to University Hospital after sustaining multiple stab wounds to his hand.
At the hospital, officers confirmed the victim’s injuries were severe but non-life-threatening. He is expected to recover.
