(WNY News Now) – SHERMAN, NY – A local man faces charges following a late-night domestic incident that endangered a child.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address in the Town of Sherman around 12:27 a.m. on November 24, 2024, for reports of an altercation. Upon arrival, deputies identified Cameron D. Johnson, 33, of Sherman, as a suspect.
An investigation revealed that Johnson had allegedly obstructed the breathing of another individual in the presence of a child under the age of 17. Johnson was taken into custody and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation.
He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and is awaiting Centralized Arraignment Program (CAP) proceedings. Johnson is scheduled to appear before the Town of Sherman Court at a later date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
