(WNY News Now) – On November 28, 2024, at approximately 10:05 p.m., the Town of Ellicott Police responded to a domestic dispute at the Quality Inn in Falconer, NY. The incident resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Matthew J. Sedlmayer, of Falconer, who was charged with harassment in the second degree, criminal contempt in the second degree, and aggravated family offense.

Authorities report that Sedlmayer violated an active order of protection during the dispute, leading to his arrest. The Town of Ellicott Police took Sedlmayer into custody at the scene and transported him to the Ellicott Police Department for processing.

Sedlmayer is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
