(WNY News Now) – A 46-year-old Jamestown woman faces criminal charges after being discovered unconscious in her car with methamphetamine in plain view.

Ellicott, N.Y. – On November 23, 2024, at approximately 7:13 AM, Town of Ellicott Police responded to a well-being check in Falconer, New York, where they found Michelle L. Wasson, 46, of Jamestown, unconscious behind the wheel of her vehicle. Upon investigation, officers discovered a quantity of methamphetamine in plain sight inside the vehicle.

Wasson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. She was then transported to the Ellicott Police Department (EPD) for processing. The Jamestown woman is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to answer to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
