(WNY News Now) – A two-month investigation culminated in the arrest of two individuals after law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a Dunkirk residence on December 3, 2024.
In a coordinated effort by the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and City of Jamestown Police Department, authorities seized a large quantity of illegal drugs during a search at 310 Lake Shore Dr. W, Room 111, Dunkirk, NY. The operation, which followed a two-month investigation into narcotics activity, led to the arrest of two individuals: 34-year-old Vanessa R. Stevens and 35-year-old Russell C. Genevese, both of Dunkirk.

The search yielded 38.36 grams of methamphetamine, 4.4 grams of fentanyl, 3.2 grams of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, including scales and packaging materials typically used for distribution. Additionally, investigators recovered $141 in cash. As a result, Stevens and Genevese were each charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree and one count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree.
Both individuals were transported to Dunkirk City Court for arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
