(WNY News Now) – Sheridan, NY – A single-vehicle accident on Route 20 in the Town of Sheridan on the evening of December 8 resulted in the arrest of a Jamestown man for driving while intoxicated.
Authorities from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at approximately 6:18 PM. Upon investigation, the driver, identified as 32-year-old Ross P. Abram of Jamestown, was found to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Abram was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or Higher, and Moving from Lane Unsafely. He was subsequently released with appearance tickets for the Town of Sheridan Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
