(WNY News Now) – Olean, NY – A 50-year-old Olean man was arrested early Thursday morning on an outstanding arrest warrant following a routine traffic stop in the city.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle on Wayne Street near North 9th Street. During the stop, deputies discovered that the driver, Scott C. Jordan, had an active arrest warrant issued by the New York State Police Olean. Jordan was taken into custody without incident.
Following his arrest, Jordan was transferred to the custody of the New York State Police on the scene. He was processed and subsequently released on an appearance ticket, requiring him to appear in court at a later date for further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
