(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, NY – A Christmas Day stabbing incident on Doat Street resulted in the swift arrest of a 24-year-old Buffalo woman, authorities announced.
At approximately 8 a.m. on December 25, 2024, officers from Buffalo Police Department’s E District responded to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) after a female victim sought treatment for stab wounds. Upon investigation, the stabbing was traced to the first block of Doat Street.
Officers from C District arrived at the scene, where they recovered three knives believed to be connected to the assault. They apprehended Dazhane Green, 24, of Buffalo, without incident. Green has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree (NYS PL 120.05-2), a class D felony.
The 24-year-old victim was treated and subsequently released from ECMC.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
